Dr. Godwin Ude - Executive Director at Kingdom Acts Foundation

Based in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, Dr. Godwin Ude is a multi-faceted professional active as a psychotherapist, clinical counselor, public policy expert, social researcher, and community development advocate. He is also a wellness coach, author, speaker, family therapist, preacher, and leadership consultant. In his years of working with nonprofits, Dr. Godwin Ude has consistently championed food security, equity, mental health, education, and the rights of people who are marginalized.

Currently, Dr. Godwin Ude is the executive director of Kingdom Acts Foundation, a federally registered charity in Surrey. He has been its executive director since June 2019 and primarily provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, stakeholder engagement, and financial stewardship. These ensure the organization continues and even expands its impact in serving people who are marginalized.

Over his tenure, Dr. Godwin Ude has been able to increase food bank services to over 14,300 people from just 3,000 a month, design and implement the KAF Youth Leadership Program, launch culturally appropriate mental health programs such as group therapy, and strengthen partnerships with government and various private stakeholders to broaden support to seniors, veterans experiencing homelessness, and people from low-income families. He has also consulted and delivered projects for the Ministry of Agriculture and Agri-food and several foundations, as well as represented communities that are marginalized communities before the United Nations Permanent Forum in Geneva, Switzerland.

Dr. Godwin Ude has a PhD in social research from Omega Graduate School in Dalton, Tennessee, and an MBA from the University of The People.
